Sarah Guest

Hi, my name is Sarah. I am excited to be back in the U.K after working in Ireland, Spain and Gibraltar. While I am sad to leave those wonderful places, I am delighted to be home sharing my Somatics lessons with others.

Dublin is where I first studied Neuromuscular Physical Therapy (NMT) at the NTC under the directorship of Mr John Sharkey, I also studied Pilates in several fantastic schools, The Pilates Institute Ireland, Body Balance University, The Progressive Pilates Academy and JPilates (London). Why so many schools?! Well, I love to experience a wide range of training so that I can offer the best I can to my clients!

I have been a Somatics Coach (since 2013) thanks to the wonderful training programmes run by Martha Peterson and her fantastic team at Essential Somatics and the lovely Tanya Fitzpatrick at Align Somatics, I just love this work!

Somatics is where I have my main focus these days.

I come from a background of chronic pain myself and after suffering for years I know what it is like to wonder if it will ever change, will there ever be a day when I can move or sleep again without pain ruling my life?

I spent thousands trying to get out of pain. I had a wonderful team of professional therapists that kept me 'ticking over',  I do not know where I would have been without them.  It was these therapists that actually inspired me to learn more about my body. I took courses with their encouragement  and I became a Neuromuscular Physical Therapist in 2008 and a Pilates Instructor in 2010. Whilst both helped improve my ability to move and I helped assist many others in their health and fitness too, it wasn't until Somatics came into my life - I could finally say, I very quickly became pain-free and have never looked back!  I felt as though I had found the missing link I had been searching for.

I trained as a Somatics Coach in 2013 and I just love sharing this work with others.

Many of my clients have also tried 'everything' and spent thousands over the years by the time they come to Somatics.  They often say to me they cannot believe how effective something so gentle can be!


We are self - sensing,  self- regulating, self- adjusting living beings. Somatics gives you gentle and effective 'tools' to take care of yourself. It's so amazing when you can finally feel good in your own body again.

I am always guided to improve how I share this wonderful work with others. There's always so much more to learn.

My dream is that everyone will enjoy some form of Somatics in their daily lives to help keep themselves moving and feeling great. We might well be aging, but there's no need to get old and stiff.
